Launched a niche apparel product a few weeks ago. I enrolled in Vine immediately, but claims are super slow. The product is around $30, and I know that's part of the problem – higher price = longer wait.

I've read about the old "low-price Vine then merge" trick, but I also know Amazon cracked down on variation merging hard in 2025-2026. Not touching that.

What I've tried:

  • Lowered the Vine SKU price to $14.99 to speed up claims (works for getting claims, but can't merge anymore)

  • Cross-posting to EU/Canada for Vine (still testing)

  • Request a Review button on actual orders

Questions:

  • With the new 2026 variation review rules, what's actually allowed vs asking for trouble?

  • Besides Vine and Request a Review, what legit methods work for getting the first few reviews on a new product?

  • Any tips to make Vine claim faster without breaking rules?

Product is solid – good quality, just struggling with the chicken-and-egg problem. No reviews → no sales → no reviews.

Appreciate any advice from apparel sellers who launched recently.
