If you have Brand Registry, use the brand support portal, not the generic report tool.
Path: Brand Registry → Support → Report a Violation → Other violation.
Make sure to emphasize that the misclassification is confusing shoppers and hurting your brand. Brand teams have more pull than regular support.
Help → Contact Us → Products, Listings, or Inventory → Fix a Product Page
Select “Incorrect browse node” or “Wrong category.”
This goes straight to the catalog team — not general support. Way better results than regular violation reports.
If buyers start leaving comments like “this isn't even for [category],” Amazon's system will sometimes auto-review the categorization.
Just ask for honest reviews about what the product actually does. Real buyer signals carry weight.
